Welcome back to another new and exciting year! We are kicking the year off with a few new exciting projects and activities:
Cross Country Skiing
The Kimberley Nordic Club is proud to partner with AltaGas and Cross Country Canada to offer the National Ski- at -School program for local school children. The program connects, schools, teachers, students, ski clubs and coaches to create this opportunity.
Your child’s program starts next week! We will provide equipment and 3 weekly lessons with qualified coaches for the Grade 3 classes at the Kimberley Nordic Centre. It is a wonderful opportunity for children to ski at a first class facility and to experience the healthy, lifelong sport of cross country skiing!
Valentine's Day Book Exchange
Knowing that parents might start looking at purchasing Valentine's for their child's classmates, we wanted to let you know about our alternate plan. Rather than exchanging Valentine's Day cards, we are asking students to bring a gently used children's book to exchange. This way, each student will get to bring a 'new' book home at the end of the day!
Please send your child with a gently used book by February 8th, so that we have time to count and collect extra books if needed. The book exchange will take place on February 14. We have had many positive responses about this exchange over the past few years, and want to thank you in advance for your support!
